2015 – 2016 Fall Winter Program | Begins September 8th

The USAM 2015 -2016 Fall Winter Program starts September 8th and ends mid-March:


o   Monday, August 31, from 6 pm to 7:30 pm.

o   Forms will be available at site.

  • NEW SWIMMER REGISTRATION – This is all new swimmers to the Fall/Winter Program –
    • If you swam Spring and Summer Program we would like you to attend one of the following sessions.  We will be doing a stroke assessment as well as clarifying group assignments as it is different from the Spring/Summer Programs.
      • September 2 and 3 from 6 pm to 7:30 pm

Group Structure Practices

RED – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 6 – 6:45 pm

Our 8 and under beginner level swimmers.  Must be able to swim 25 yards of freestyle or back stroke without stopping.  They will learn all 4 strokes as well as starts and turns during the season.

WHITE – Monday-Thursday – 6 – 715 pm (And occasional Saturday time TBA (1:30-3, 3-4:30)  Expected to attend minimum of 2 x a week.

            Our 7-13 years old beginner to novice group.  Must be able to swim distant required for racing in this age group and have 3 of the 4 legal strokes.

BLUE – Monday-Thursday – 6:30-8 pm and Saturday 1:30-3.  Expected to attend minimum of 3 times a week.

            Our 11 and over group, can swim all 4 strokes. 

Regional – Monday-Thursday 6 – 8 pm, Saturday 1:30-4:30 and occasional Fridays TBA.  Expected to attend minimum of 4/5 times a week.

            Must meet qualifying standard (Age and time related).  Additional Fundraising for this group may be required and attendance to a out of Region Swim Meet is also expected.

Stroke School – TBA (will run 4 week sessions on Friday and Saturday during the season).

 Focus on one stroke till mastery.

Swim Lessons – TBA (will run 4 week session on Friday and Saturday at this time during the season). 

            Beginner, Novice and Advanced.  The goal of these lessons is to progress to swim team program.

  • We follow Adirondack Swimming Invite Schedule.  We will have meet selected for each group that we will be attending once schedule is finalized.
  • Dual Meets – we are part of Eastern State League (ESL) we will have several meets during the season we will host and we will visit other ESL Teams and race at there facilities.

Championship Meet

  • Region 1 – Qualification times (tends to be Blue and Regional Swimmers) (Dates TBA - February)
  • Silver Championships  (All Swimmers who have not qualified for Gold’s) (Dates TBA - March)

·    Gold Championships (All qualified Swimmers) (Dates TBA- March)

·    ESL Championships (All Swimmers ) (Date-February-late)

Note all swimmers must be USA Registered.  (If you are new to the team we will need a Birth Certificate – please just a copy)
