Uncle Sam Swim Team

WHAT IS USAM:
Uncle Sam is a federally and state recognized non-profit organization that is committed to the growth of swimming in the Capital District and surrounding regions. The core of our operations is a swimming club that offers advanced swimming training to swimmers across Eastern New York and Western New England.  We not only train the team, but we train individuals by skills and by positions, using proven methods that have created champions across the country.


WHO IS USAM:
The Uncle Sam Swim Team was founded in 1963, was developed as a means of developing competitive swimming skills in Southern Rensselaer County. 


WHERE IS USAM: USAM practices at
Troy High School and W.K Doyle Middle School in Troy. 
 

WHEN IS USAM: USAM will hold tryouts throughout the year.  Uncle Sam runs year round with several different seasons; Fall/Winter (September - March), Spring (April - June) and  Summer (June - August).  Practices range from 1-2 per week for the developmental group to 3-4  times per week for the USAM team. Swimmers have the opportunity to participate in meets approximately 1-2 weekends per month from mid-November through February.
