9/2/2010 New!

As I sit here at the ASCA Coaches Conference in Indiana I get excited about the upcoming season.  This clinic gets me excited and fired up about our future season and looking to the future success of the program in achieving the goals I have set forth for myself and this program since I started.  Just a reminder tryouts are Tuesday, September 7 at 5:30-7:30 at Doyle Middle School Pool.  This is where we will be training for most of the Fall season.  Click here to go to the registration page and see the letter that was sent home earlier this week along with registration, medical and payment forms that are available.  If you print and fill out the pages ahead of time that will facilitate the sign up process on Tuesday.  If you have any questions please feel free to email me at headcoach@unclesamswimteam.com.

Summer 2010 - Once again this summer we have continued our training using the out door facility in South Troy.  This summer about 12 swimmers decided to swim with 3 competing at Long Course Championship in Colgate.  On the same weekend we also had 2 swimmers representing Adirondack Area at Empire State Games that were held in Buffalo.  Improvement in Long Course times were made my many of the swimmers along with one being eligible for Summer Zones.

We extended our training program to coincide with Varsity Girls Season and trained a couple of new and upcoming Freshman for a local High School.  Good Luck to all the Varsity Girls this year.

This summer we continued to have dry-land play a major role in our training adding in running, more extensive dry land exercise, abdominal exercises and Yoga a couple of days.

Overall this summer was again another success and we look forward to returning to our outdoor pools in 2011.

Spring 2010 - USAM was able to continue its training program this spring with several swimmers take part in our spring program once again utilizing the punch card system we had set up.  We did compete in a Meter Madness meet and great results from our swimmers having best times in several events.  Hope to see you all this summer.
